Sat, 04 Feb 2012 01:10:01 +0100 (Reuters) - A Haitian immigrant (R) fights for the ball with a Brazilian resident from Assis city as they play soccer at a field in the Peruvian border city of Inapari, February 3, 2012. Over 250 Haitian immigrants hoping to enter Brazil have been stuck in Inapari , a remote border town some 1620 km (1005 miles) southeast of Lima, hoping to enter Brazil, after Brazil's government closed the border to them. Haitians are looking for opportunities in Brazil, which has enjoyed years of growing economic prosperity and attracted billions of dollars in foreign investment.Brazil recently agreed to grant work visas to thousands of poor Haitians escaping the quake-ravaged nation, but Brasilia is looking to stem illegal immigration.
